Children's Ministries Community Service Projects
This year during our Missions Emphasis, the Children's Ministry is sponsoring three outreaches for our BVBC families! There is no better way to teach children about missions and reaching out to others than by having parents model service! So we encourage you as a family to GET INVOLVED in one of the following:

  • Urban Promise: Children and their families will have fun planting flower bulbs together for this urban school and ministry outpost in the city of Wilmington. Families supply the bulbs and gardening tools. A tour of Urban Promise will be included.
  • Clothing Bank of Delaware: This service project will have families sorting, folding and packing clothing for needy children and adults.
  • Clothing Drive for Needy Families: We will be collecting used clothing (clean and in good condition) for the Clothing Bank of Delaware. Please drop off your donations on or before Sunday, March 21 at the old Children's Welcome Center (small glass reception area on in the East Wing off the Gathering Place). There is a particular need for children's sizes and XL sizes for adults, but all donations are appreciated. Contact Joy McDermott at (302) 478-4255 for more information.

Faith Promise
Faith Promise is a special offering taken annually over a period of eight weeks during our Spring Missions Emphasis (March-April). Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 to help build a church in Ukraine and to assist BVBC missionaries with special needs. Faith Promise envelopes are available in the pews for your convenience. Contributions should be designated for Faith Promise (not Missions). Please prayerfully consider your part in this year's Faith Promise.
