Sponsored by the Coalition of Youth Leaders, Ignite is designed to educate and train youth leaders, parents and students on topics relevant to today's teens that will better equip us to reach the next generation for Christ!

Great times of worship and informative workshops taught by experts in the Youth Ministry field, plus lunch provided by Chick-fil-a!

Advance cost: $15 students, $25 parents/youth leaders
At-the-Door: $30 per person

Ignite Parent Workshops

Workshop Session #1

“Turn that music down!” The subculture of the Teenage World - David Burke

What are some general characteristics of the adolescent world in which we live?  How can parents connect with their teenagers and still be parents?  How can we mobilize our teens to “keep the faith,” in the slippery slope of an immoral world?  These questions, and your questions, will be explored as we tackle the alien species of youth culture today.  We know that God is bigger, but do we live it? 

Workshop Session #2

Where are you going? Out. Who are you going with? Friends. When will you be back? Later. - David Burke

This engaging fast moving session will mobilize parents to keep the lines of communication open and clear in a hyper social media world.  The humorous and fun workshop will give practical strategies for parents to tackle the hot potatoes of sexuality, guy/girl relationships, and other challenges in the real world of being a teenager. 

Workshop Session #3

Five Ways to Partner with Your Youth Pastor - Drew & Tracey Cope

This session will clarify 5 specific ways you can partner with your youth pastor to collectively help not only your teenagers, but other teens in your community, to grow in their relationship with Jesus. You will also have the opportunity to dialog with Drew and Tracey about successes and challenges you face partnering with your youth pastor.
