Brandywine is Recycling!

recycling

Starting in the beginning of August, Brandywine Valley Baptist Church will be recycling all of its paper products. Recycling is one of the simplest things we all can do to reduce waste, conserve resources, and be good stewards. And now, we can earn money when we do it!

BVBC will taking part in the Paper Retriever Recycling program. This is a simple and free service to use for paper recycling. There is no charge to the church for the collection bins or the paper pick up. And BVBC will be able to earn money for any paper dropped off at our green and yellow recycling bins.

We need help from both the congregation and the community! Everyone can take part in this effort! This is an easy and convenient way for you to recycle your paper every week. It is easy to get started; just place an empty box or bin near your trash at home and place your paper in the box, then bring it with you to church once a week!

We will be recycling the following types of paper:

  • Newspaper
  • Church bulletins
  • Catalogs
  • Shredded paper
  • Theme or spiral notebooks
  • Magazines
  • Junk mail
  • Office paper
  • Fax paper
  • Colored paper
  • School paper
  • Notebooks
  • Folders

(If dropping off shredded paper, please put it in a bag. If dropping off theme or spiral books, please take off the front and back hardcover; the metal spiral may remain intact. You do not need to remove staples from the paper. Please, NO cardboard or phonebooks.)

We can earn up to $40 per bin, and we will be using the finds we raise for replacement carpets in the East and West wing. Our recycling bins will be located at the back of the exit corner of the church parking lot.

If you have any questions, contact Len Armstrong in the church office at (302) 478-4255 or send him an email.
